Hitler 2.0

If you went to publik skool, chances are you were fed an anti-Christian false narrative on the rise of Hitler. It went something like this: “The Germans watched one-too-many Passion plays and decided to kill jews. The End.” Besides being a slur against Christians it also robs you from learning from history. And history is currently repeating itself.

The real history started with the rise of communist revolutionaries, especially in Hungary and Bavaria. The Hungarian revolution came about in 1919, and these revolutionaries were some sick brutal animals. The Germans were aware of this. Another revolution during the same time was attempted in Bavaria and initially succeeded. Here the Germans started battling the commies in the streets, and eventually Catholics, Freekorp, and a small contingent of the German Army succeeded in defeating the commies. An interesting aside, Hitler was originally on the side of the commies and attended the funeral of the first Bavarian leader, Kurt Eisner after he was killed. Hitler would eventually join the DAP, predecessor of the National Socialists in late 1919.

Germany entered into a depression after WWI, and street battles between commies and nationalists (both left and right) were frequent. It was during this time that the S.A. started rising to prominence, especially after Klintzch took over as the leader and later Rohm. The National Socialists under Hitler with their street fighters the S.A. became the only organized force in number to protect people from the commie monsters. This then was the source of their popularity, not Passion plays.

Interestingly in the only free election Hitler was involved in not a single Catholic State in Germany voted for him, including Bavaria, and later the Catholic Church condemned Nazism. So ends the brief history.

How is this relevant today? We are seeing the rise of leftist violence, initially during the Trump campaign, and now during the Trump presidency. At first the Right did not fight back. Then we started seeing women and old men get assaulted simply for wearing a Trump hat. The Right finally fought back notably “Based Stickman”, Huntington Beach, and then Berkeley 2.0. The Left has created the environment for the rise of Hitler 2.0. Furthermore, as of now, the Trump administration is following in the footsteps of Weimer Germany. Clearly antifa and BAMN are domestic terrorist organizations that operate across State boundaries, so why hasn’t the FBI acted by making arrests and at least warning off financial backers like Soros?

Fortunately as of now there are key differences, but this is not guaranteed to persist. First the main Right wing street brawlers consist of Proud Boys, militia, bikers, and Oathkeepers, the latter bringing military organizing capabilities. None of these groups are fascist or white supremacists, or for that matter, anti-jewish. There was a small group of Nazis, some sort of “Europa” group at Berkeley 2.0, but they were shunned by the main group and they numbered only a handful of people. Of course they got most to the press. A quick aside, if you want to keep the Right street fighters on the side of Christianity and Constitutionalism, go over to Oathkeepers and give them a donation. Stewart Rhodes is doing an excellent job keeping people sane.

The other difference is there really isn’t a major white supremacist, or even white nationalist street brawler group of any prominence. You may think “Richard Spencer”, but first he is a white nationalist and does not appear to be especially violent. I would think someone like Andrew Anglin is more capable, but to be honest I know very little of what I’ll call the “Violent Nationalist” and may be totally wrong. So I don’t see the rise of the “Violent Nationalists” anytime soon. Note Proud Boys will resort to violence in self defense, but I exclude such groups from my “Violent Nationalist” term because of the self defense, or community defense aspect. Also note I do not use the term “Violent Right” because Spencer and Anglin are Leftists economically.

We have to take the long view however. It took Hitler 15 years to get into power, and this chapter of street violence has only just begun. We are in year 1. Imagine a deep depression and the rise of a left-of-center nationalist, perhaps from the labor unions rising in prominence. Imagine the now completely radicalized commie Left retaking power in 2020 and upping the street voilence. Under those conditions, a Hitler 2.0 could come to power. This is not far-fetched.

As a Catholic you can help out. Support groups such as Oathkeepers, Proud Boys, and Bikers for Trump, among others. Also, contact your Senator and Representative and complain about the lack of action by the FBI against these leftist terror organizations.

I’ll leave you with a quote from Vox day. Note this is not an exact quote, but I doubt he’d object:

REPORTER: Do you think Trump will resort to violence?
VOX DAY: No, I think Trump is the last chance we have to avoid violence.

Why Trump Will Likely Fail

First, as a Catholic I am 100% satisfied. We got Gorsuch, and there may be 1 to 2 additional conservative Supreme Court Justices coming. Mission accomplished.

That being said, on economics Trump will likely fail. Only his reputation as an expert negotiator keeps me from being conclusive. Who knows, he may be following an impressive playbook with a focus on the long game. I’ll go through a few of the topics:

1. We have a $20 TRILLION debt. If interest rates across duration rise to an average of 5%, fully a third of our budget would be consumed. We are running a large deficit with interest rates probably less than 1.5%. It appears that Trump’s solution is to grow our way out of the debt. Now pro-growth measures are a vital part in fixing things, however spending needs to be reduced. We will see what happens after the budget gets approved. Trump is an expert negotiator and I fully expect him to shut down the government, but we’ll see what the final numbers look like. Furthermore Trump has given up on the border tax. Note he was going to trade a border tax for a reduction of corporate income taxes. At worst this was economically neutral. More likely this would have been economically beneficial as it would have fostered capital formation and capital appreciation, otherwise known as building manufacturing plants. He’s given up on that.

2. Medical costs are outrageous. 50 years ago the doctor came to your house, literally. It was called a house call. He lived in an upper middle class neighborhood and drove a nice car. Today 5 minutes of his time will cost you $150, and he drives a Porsche. His main house is over a million and he has a condo in the Caymans. Trump needs to bust up medical monopolies, doing things like licensing EMTs, Army medics, and RN’s as physicians. Medical costs are the number one problem, destroying such things as Medicare, Medicaid, and pension medical plans. I’ll do a podcast on this topic, but another resource is Karl Denninger over at The Market Ticker.

3.  Social Security is already bankrupt.  To balance the ponzi scheme out we would have to cut benefits today to around $0.78 on the dollar.  It will only get worse and Trump won’t touch this with a 10 foot pole.

4.  Regulation Reduction.  I give him a lot more credit on this, but I’m not convinced.  He can do a lot as the administrator, but he needs Congress to get real reform, and I don’t see it happening.  Give him credit on Keystone and DAPL, as well as putting Pruitt in at EPA.  However there are rumblings Ivanka is keeping him from acting on shutting down the Climate Change scam.

5.  Obamacare.  I’m not sure on this.  At first I thought he was ambushing Paul Ryan with Ryan Care, but after he attacked the Freedom Caucus, it looks like my hope was misplaced.  I expect some kind of reform to come out –as the Republicans know it would be political suicide to fail here, however now my opinion is that this anchor around business won’t be eliminated, just lightened to some degree.  This is a big deal because Odumbocare is probably the biggest problem businesses are facing.

6.  Drain the Swamp.  This is the biggest disappointment.   I’ll tell you when I first knew it was over.  It was when the press started calling him a liar and even called Kelly Ann Conway a liar to her face.  Now the number one rule of leadership is to take care of your men.  Sure getting called a liar is bad, but when your men are attacked (in this case a woman), you have to lay the hammer down.  Besides some verbal jousting, he did nothing.  How about this instead: “CNN called Kelly Ann a liar.  They are out of here for 1 week, no interviews, no press room access.  After a week, they can apologize or they can be permanently banned.  That is their choice.”  Same with the fake news stories.

And it gets worse.  Why is Comey still in the FBI?  Firing him was easy.  Why is Anthony Weiner still walking free?  John Podesta?  Hillary Clinton?  Susan Rice?  Evelyn Farkis?  The list is endless.  Again, maybe Trump is following a playbook, but my fear is that Trump has discovered that the Republicans have about the same skeletons in their closet as the Dems.  So I’m not very hopeful.

Now Trump is infinitely better than Hillary, but at best we’ll get a minor improvement, again with the cavaet Trump is not playing some sort of 3D chess, and then its back to our old ways.  One bit of hope is that the Democrats are destroying themselves.  Their party is becoming hard left and has declared war on white people and successful working blacks.  I’ll leave you with a bit of hope: Who got Trump elected?  Look at the numbers and the answer is black men.

On Justice

There is throughout society and in the Catholic Church a serious problem:  Most people don’t understand what is meant by Justice.  This is one of the fundamental flaws in the Leftist world view.  Now Justice is simply this: receiving what you are owed, or paying what is owed.  Justice can be abstracted to the fact that you CAN be owed.  This ability to be owed is due to God.  Let us look at an example that demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of what Justice means.

The example is that of the term Social Justice.  Taken literally, in a society of strict social justice handicapped people starve to death.  The reason this is just is because the handicapped person can not work, and therefore no one owes him any food.  If you can not accept this, then you do not understand what is meant by justice.  For the protecting and provisioning of handicapped people does not fall under Justice, but under Charity.  It is the love of our fellow man that spurs us to provide for the indigent.  In fact, it would be more fitting to call these activities Social Mercy.

However, therein lies the problem.  It is my suspicion that a large segment on the left is mentally ill, driven by feelings of insecurity and inadequacy that leads them to be control freaks.  Now consider that “Mercy” and “Charity” are free, there is no compunction.  Under Mercy, the grantor of the charitable act does so by his choose alone.  He is not indebted, and if he chooses to withhold Mercy, there is no offense committed.  To the Leftist, this causes psychic pain, for there is no insurance that they will be provided for.  Therefore they conjure up some imaginary debt that the makers and producers owe to the takers, parasites, and looters.

This leads me to discuss a great evil: “Mercy” at the expense of an injustice.  An example is the government welfare system.  There is some element of Mercy (though in reality this is a bastardization), in that some politician or scab sucking maggot social worker grants money to some person.  However it is at the expense of an injustice; in the pointing of the government gun at the producer to take what is redistributed to the parasite.

Only when you fully accept what the Catholic Church means by the virtue of Justice will you be able to analyze these economic situations.  The poor and indigent should be cared for by the Church, Catholic Relief Societies, and Catholic Medical systems.  This is not the responsibility of the government.
